David Bentley contributes to BBC Radio 4 Programme on new DNA technology

11.05.15 | |

David Bentley QC was invited by the BBC to contribute to a new Radio 4 series on Forensic Science.  His interview on the difficulties in presenting cases in court as a result of new DNA technology in court can be accessed on the BBC website by clicking here.  Whilst the whole programme is of interest to those practitioners who have to respond to DNA evidence in criminal cases, his main contributions can be found at 16mins 40secs and at 25mins 30 secs.

David is widely regarded as having a particular specialism in DNA cases, having appeared in many of the leading trials and appeal cases in this controversial field.   The Chambers & Partners guide comments that “DNA evidence is his thing, and he has the ability to understand forensic stuff that is not easy."(Chambers UK, 2014).  He also writes frequently on the topic, and provided a well-received feature in the Law Society Gazette in January 2015.  He also regularly provides in-house bespoke training for solicitors.  To know more please e-mail Maurice MacSweeney, our Business Development Director, or call him on 020 7404 1313.
