Since our foundation in 1990, our aim has been and will always be to improve access to justice and to promote human rights and civil liberties through the law.  We maintain our  rights based approach through our work across a number of practice areas comprising criminal law, civil law, administrative  and public law, international law and human rights, both in the UK and abroad.

We have taken the opportunity provided by our 25th anniversary to reflect upon the work undertaken by members of Chambers, working alongside our valued friends and colleagues in firms of solicitors, NGOs and other chambers.

The “Rights: Up our street” website project is our celebration  of how human rights law has developed in the last quarter  of a century, illustrated with examples from our small part in  that process.  We hope you will be to visit the new website, at www.doughtystreetchambers25yearson.com and will continue to visit it as we update it with new cases and new rights in the coming months and years.
