Edward Fitzgerald QC acting in Bahamas appeal in the Privy Council

 

Edward Fitzgerald Q.C. is acting in an appeal in the Privy Council today. This is a case from the Bahamas concerning rights of juveniles in custody and questioning by police. This matter involves a 17 year old confessing to murder after he alleges he was subjected to long periods of questioning and being denied food and drink for 24 hours. Further, he did not have access to legal advice or a parent or guardian.
