Edward Rees QC secures acquittal of Tony Walker who stood accused in the gang murder of Andrew Jaipaul.

Tony Walker allegedly part of the ‘Busy Block’ gang who attacked and murdered Andrew Jaipaul in June 2011 has been cleared of murder but found guilty of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

 

During the trial, the Old Bailey heard how the gang, known as the Busy Block from Archway, were seeking revenge after one of their members was stabbed in the bottom by rival gangsters in the Wray Kray and Crouch Hall gangs from Holloway.


CCTV caught the mob marching towards the scene of the killing with their faces covered with masks and scarves.

 

Six members of the gang of twenty that stood accused have been found guilty of murder and jailed for life.
