Former Mayor of Camden Council acquitted of Fraud

The former Liberal Democrat Mayor of the London Borough of Camden Omar Ansani has been cleared of fraud, false accounting and other offences relating to claims for incapacity and disability benefits between 2006-2010. The prosecution accepted medical evidence that he is unfit to be tried and he was formally acquitted of all charges at Blackfriars Crown Court. He was represented by Peter Lownds.
