Ibrahim Halawa - Statement of international legal team

On 29 June 2016, Ibrahim Halawa's trial in Egypt was adjourned for the 14th time, until 2 October 2016.

Ibrahim's international legal team are gravely concerned about this development and about the ongoing delay in the case.  Ibrahim has now been detained for 2 years and 11 months.

Ibrahim's international team is working with the Irish Government at this sensitive stage of the case.

Somaia Halawa, Ibrahim's sister, has issued a statement, available here
