Doughty Street Chambers is delighted to announce that Jonathan Price has joined our Media Law and Defamation Team. Jonathan is an established practitioner, who brings with him a wealth of experience in media law from his busy practice. Called to the Bar in 2004, Jonathan was instructed in the first ever “Twitter libel” case Cairns v Modi both at first instance and in the Court of Appeal and last year successfully saw off a claim by a Qatar-based businessman against a transcriber from Milton Keynes in the “Twitter typist” case (Kearns v Kemp). His practice has included acting for national print media, corporate defendants and individuals.  He is an invaluable addition to the team.  We welcome him on board.

Heather Rogers QC said:  “Jonathan and I first worked together on the trial of the libel claim in Polanski v Condé Nast some ten years ago. He is terrific and I am very pleased that he has now joined our team at Doughty Street.”
