Poland v JS – Extradition Request Refused

14.08.15 | |

On 12th August 2015, District Judge Snow refused to order JS’s extradition to Poland to serve a one year prison sentence for an offence of procuring a loan using forged documents.

Despite finding JS to have deliberately left Poland to avoid serving the sentence, the judge found that the negative impact extradition would have on JS’s wife and children outweighed the public interest in honouring Poland’s request.

JS was represented by Graeme L. Hall, who was instructed by Claire Kelly of Oracle Solicitors.
