Tunde Okewale Shortlisted for Young Legal Aid Barrister of the Year 2012

Doughty Street Chambers is delighted to announce that Tunde Okewale has been short Listed for the title of "Young Legal Aid Barrister of the Year" at the forthcoming Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year awards. A judging panel chaired by Michael Mansfield QC has selected 28 finalists for the 10th anniversary Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year awards. Tunde who is a member or our Criminal Law and Extradition team also founded urbanlawyers.co.uk, an organisation that aims to educate young people about the criminal law and their rights. He was also an advisor on The Citizens Inquiry into the Tottenham Riots.

 

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in central London on 12th June 2012.
