Doughty Street Chambers always is keen to attract highly talented barristers who might be interested in joining our unique set of chambers across all of our practice areas.

Criminal Team

Our specialist criminal team is seeking established practitioners, in all ranges of call.

The team undertakes serious and complex criminal cases, including political, sensitive and commercial crime. Members also major in extradition, international criminal law, disciplinary work and criminal related inquests, inquiries and judicial review, within a large diversified set specialising in all aspects of human rights work.

Extradition Team

Doughty Street Chambers has a thriving and successful extradition team headed by Edward Fitzgerald QC. We would welcome applications from established extradition practitioners, or from individuals with a substantial extradition practice, of any call.

Housing & Social Welfare Team


Our specialist Housing and Social Welfare Team is seeking to recruit junior practitioners of up to five years call. Exceptionally the Team would consider barristers between six and ten year's call. Any successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in advocacy, a commitment to human rights and civil liberties and an ability to establish a practice in the higher courts.
