The speakers will include renowned child psychologist, Dr. Sharon Pettle, the author of numerous reports used to decisive effect in Article 8 cases, and Doughty Street’s Caoilfhionn Gallagher, who acted for the Official Solicitor in the lead Supreme Court authority on extradition and children’s rights, H(H) v Italy and F-K v Poland, and has appeared in all extradition appeals in which the child dependents of requested persons were separately represented by counsel.

The seminar, chaired by Edward Fitzgerald QC, (who with Ben Cooper represented the sole successful appellant (F-K) in H(H) v Italy and F-K v Poland) will also include a panel discussion with some of our leading extradition practitioners, including Ben Cooper, Malcolm Hawkes and Mary Westcott. The panel will also be joined by Oliver Studdert, Maxwell Gillott Solicitors, a solicitor with unparalleled experience of representing children in extradition cases.
