The newly-formed Regulatory and Financial Team offers specialist advocacy and a rapid, authoritative advice resource. It will shortly be providing dedicated training programmes for lawyers and those in the regulated sector.
It comprises selected specialist barristers drawn from within Doughty Street's General Crime Team. All have considerable experience in the particular specialties of Fraud and Asset Recovery Law, including:
Between them the team have appeared in a number of high-profile trials and appeals.
Cases include the "Millenium Dome Fraud", the "Jubilee Line Fraud", "Polly Peck", the "Kieron Fallon" racing fraud, numerous high value MTIC frauds and substantial money laundering cases. Appeals include Stroud (No.2) [2005} EWCA rim 161, Ajibade [2006] 2 CrAppR (S) 168; NW [2008] EWCA Crim 2.
All the silks are listed as "leaders in the field" of criminal law in Chambers & Partners (2008); Michael Grieve QC and Chris Sallon are listed in the fraud section of The Legal 500 (2007)
