Sonder is the general pupil at Doughty Street Chambers.
Sonder has wide-ranging experience in human rights advocacy developed through academic, voluntary, and trustee roles, with a focus on civil liberties, policing, and discrimination.
Prior to joining the Bar, Sonder worked as a legal assistant at a leading public law set, conducting research for King’s Counsel and junior tenants across public law, crime, actions against the police, and public international law. Sonder assisted on high-profile matters, including R v Hallam [2025] EWCA Crim 199, R (Ammori) v SSHD [2025] EWHC 1708 (Admin), and R v Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh (Westminster Magistrates’ Court, 26 September 2025).
Sonder previously interned at the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute, preparing human rights briefings for presentation to Parliament and UN bodies, and collaborating with the High Level Panel of Legal Experts on Media Freedom to advocate for the repeal of colonial sedition laws.
Committed to broadening access to the Bar, Sonder also volunteers with Bringing (Dis)ability to the Bar and International Future Barrister Mentorship.
