Martin Westgate QCZia Nabi and Daniel Clarke present Doughty Street’s annual review of developments in homelessness law and the implications for those assisting homeless applicants.

Developments include various cases in the Court of Appeal in relation to vulnerability and the public sector equality duty (Rother DC v Freeman-Roach [2018] EWCA Civ 368; Lomax v Gosport BC [2018] EWCA Civ 1846), intentional homelessness (Oduneye v Brent LBC [2018] EWCA Civ 1595), capacity to make applications (WB v W DC [2018] EWCA Civ 928) and other matters (Davis v Watford BC [2018] EWCA Civ 529; Kamara v Southwark [2018] EWCA Civ 1616; Sambotin v Brent LBC [2018 EWCA Civ 1826; as well as a round-up of cases of interest in the High Court and County Court.
