National Age Assessment Board Decisions: Recent Judgments

This webinar is brought in quick response to two judgments in successful challenges to National Age Assessment Board (NAAB) Decisions:
- R (ALK) v Secretary of State for the Home Department and Walsall Borough Council (JR-2025-LON-000694) - judgment handed down on 27 November 2025
- R (SS) v Secretary of State for the Home Department (JR-2025-LON-000432) – judgment handed down on 2 December 2025
The Upper Tribunal in both cases declared that the applicants were the age they claimed and quashed the NAAB Decisions as being unlawful.
This webinar will share the key findings and practical tips from the two cases including: considering the conduct and reasoning of the NAAB assessments; the approach taken by the Tribunal to the assessments and procedural issues relating to litigating age assessment challenges in the context of NAAB.
This webinar is for practitioners representing and supporting age disputed minors in age dispute challenges.
