Conclusion in inquest concerning Elliott Johnson

Coroner Tom Osborne has returned a conclusion of suicide in the inquest concerning the death of Elliott Johnson.  The inquest heard evidence that Elliott had written a note shortly before his death describing that he had been bullied by conservative activist Mark Clarke who was later expelled from the Conservative Party.

Elliott Johnson's family were represented by Heather Williams QC and Sam Jacobs of Doughty Street Chambers, instructed by Jane Deighton of Deighton Pierce Glynn.
