We are delighted to welcome Sophy Miles who will be joining chambers and practising in the Mental Health and Court of Protection Team from 13 April.  


Called to the Bar in 2015, Sophy first qualified as a solicitor in 1989, and granted Higher Rights in 2008. She is a founding partner of Miles and Partners LLP where she led the mental health and capacity team for 16 years, before becoming  a consultant in 2012.  Sophy is also chair of the Mental Health and Disability Committee for the Law Society and an active member of the Mental Health Lawyers Association committee. She has been involved in significant cases, including JE v DE and others [2006] EWHC 3459 (Fam) and Hillingdon v Neary [2011] EWHC 1377(COP).
