Leading the way in the European Court of Human Rights

The ECtHR have decided to refer two UK cases to the Grand Chamber. Doughty Street acts for both of them. In Hutchinson, the GC will consider whether the UK’s system for “whole life” prisoners is compatible with Article 3, in Ibrahim whether the use, at trial, of interviews conducted without legal representation is compatible with Article 6.
