Liam Walker secures the acquittal of youth charged with ‘frenzied stabbing’ attempted murder

17.02.17 | |

After a trial, lasting two weeks at Inner London Crown Court ‘JS’, a youth, was unanimously acquitted of attempting to murder another youth.

JS had accepted stabbing a youth multiple times, including once in the face, in what had been reported as a ‘frenzied attack’. The attack caused life threatening injuries to the complainant.

The entire incident had been captured on high definition CCTV that, by its very nature, was distressing for the jury to watch.

Expert evidence including psychiatrists and psychologists were called by Liam to establish the ‘depressed cognitive function’ of JS who had suffered various violent traumas during his childhood.

The matter received widespread media coverage - The Evening Standard, The Telegraph, ITV News, and Sky News.
