Met police to pay more than £400,000 to victim of undercover officer

Police to pay £425,000 to victim of undercover police officer Heather Williams QC and Alex Gask, instructed by Jules Carey of Bindman & Partners, acted for "Jacqui" who sued the Metropolitan Police for damages for deceit and negligence as a result of the actives of undercover police officer Bob Lambert, who duped her into forming a relationship with his false persona and then abandoned her after she gave birth to their son. The Metropolitan Police Commissioner has just issued an apology to Jacqui and agreed to pay her the substantial sum of £425,000 in settlement of her claim.
