Philippa Eastwood successfully represents A4e Operations Manager acquitted of charges of defrauding the DWP

After a 10 week trial, Not Guilty verdicts have been returned for the Action for Employment (A4e) Operations Manager accused of conspiring to use false instruments to defraud the Department for Work and Pensions.  The allegations that he was involved in the misuse of significant public funds in the delivery of a large welfare to work contract had attracted considerable media attention, but were unanimously rejected by the jury. Other defendants who were convicted will be sentenced in March.

Philippa Eastwood was instructed by Aileen Colhoun, Partner at Hickman & Rose Solicitors.
