Place-Hacking Academic Spared Custody

A post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Oxford, Dr. Bradley Garrett, was given a conditional discharge for offences of criminal damage arising out of his activities as a place-hacker. The Crown offered no evidence on a charge of conspiracy to cause criminal damage. He was represented by Tim Moloney QC and Tatyana Eatwell who were instructed by Simon Natas of ITN Solicitors.
