Sarah Elliott QC secures acquittal for alleged “mercy killing”

RG was acquitted of the murder of his terminally ill father at Swansea Crown Court on 17 November, when the Crown offered no further evidence after cross-examination of the principal prosecution witness by Sarah Elliott QC. RG was alleged to have confessed to medical staff that he had put a pillow over the face of his father to hasten the end of his life. Sarah was instructed by Eve Hayes at Graham Evans & Partners.
