Christopher Johnson and Rachel Woodward in the Supreme Court

On 15 and 16 July 2025, the Supreme Court will hear the appeal in the case of Lewis-Ranwell v G4S (and Others). Christopher and Rachel are instructed on behalf of the Claimant / Respondent, Alexander Lewis-Ranwell, led by Selena Plowden KC of Guildhall Chambers. The case concerns the application of the common law illegality defence to a claim where the Claimant killed whilst “insane”. The Claimant was successful in the High Court and the Court of Appeal.
