Dr Tunde Okewale OBE secures acquittals on multiple attempted rape allegations

Following a six day trial at Harrow Crown Court, Dr Tunde Okewale OBE secured acquittals for his client on allegations of multiple attempted rapes.

The prosecution alleged a sustained course of domestic abuse, relying upon the complainant's evidence, civilian witnesses, 999 recordings, body worn video footage and digital evidence. The defence challenged the reliability of the prosecution case and the evidential basis for the most serious allegations.

The jury acquitted Dr Okewale's client of both counts of attempted rape, together with the allegations of assault involving a knife.
