Farrhat Arshad KC’s client acquitted of murder and manslaughter

Following a seven week trial at Croydon Crown Court, Farrhat’s client, CR, was unanimously acquitted of murder, manslaughter and attempted GBH. CR, aged 17 at the time of the alleged offences, together with his 15 year old co-defendant, was accused of killing a 42 year old man by stabbing, and attempting to seriously injure his friend following a neighbour dispute.   CR asserted he was acting in self-defence.
