Jude Bunting KC wins as Highly Commended ‘Barrister of the Year’ in the Lawyer Awards 2026

Doughty Street Chambers is delighted to announce that Jude Bunting KC was ‘Highly Commended’ as ‘Barrister of the Year’ in this year’s The Lawyer Awards.  

Jude received special commendation for his ‘David vs Goliath’ success in the unprecedented government super-injunctionMinistry of Defence v Global Media and Entertainment Limited, as well as in high profile matters including:

• the MI5 false evidence ruling;
• the landmark Dillon case addressing the legality of the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Act 2023;
• the landmark challenge to anti-protest laws (R (Liberty) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2025] EWCA Civ 571);
