Leading mental health charity Mind has been given permission to intervene in the Supreme Court

Leading mental health charity Mind has been given permission to intervene in the Supreme Court in the case of PJ V Welsh Ministers.  The Supreme Court will decide whether people on a Community Treatment Order (CTO) can be deprived of their liberty outside hospitals, and what a Mental Health Tribunal can do if it is concerned that a patient’s human rights may be being violated.

DSC’s Aswini Weereratne QCSophy Miles and Gemma Daly will represent Mind at the hearing on 22 October.
