Louise delivers keynote speech on International Law at the European Congress
Today, Louise Willocx will be addressing the Brussels Bar on the future of international law at the European Congress.
In her keynote speech, she will consider what international law has achieved since the Second World War, and what is at stake in preserving the institutions and principles underpinning it in these increasingly hostile times. Drawing on her experience working on international justice and human rights in Colombia, as well as her practice in criminal and extradition law, Louise will address how it has come to shape domestic courts, human rights protections and the lives of individuals and what our role as lawyers is in upholding these.
She will thereafter join the panel for a broader discussion on the future of international law.
