This term, Sean will be appearing (led by Fiona Murphy KC, Sam Jacobs and Frederick Powell) in the Supreme Court in XGY v Chief Constable of Sussex Police [2026], an important media and police law case concerning breaches of privacy and confidentiality during legal proceedings.
Sean is also well placed to act where media law intersects with employment, equality, commercial, human rights, police and public law, and has gained experience of these areas in practice.

He also worked at IPSO, which gives him an added insight into press regulation matters. He has recently written about the growing importance of IPSO's rules to data claims based on 'unfairness'.
