Doughty Street Chambers invite you to attend our ‘Court of Protection, Property and Affairs: Applications and Safeguarding’ seminar aimed at Court of Protection and social welfare lawyers from local authorities and in private practice. 


Chaired by Lindsay Johnson, Sophy Miles and Dominic Preston consider the issues arising out of local authority applications to safeguard the interests of vulnerable individuals falling prey to financial abuse, including the triggers for action by local authorities, the difficulties in ensuring that P is represented or otherwise participates in the proceedings, and the different options available depending on income and capital.


They will also consider the law relating to the grant of interests in land and the circumstances in which conveyances can be declared void.
