The Legal Aid Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill is due to be implemented in April 2013.

This seminar will provide a forum for practitioners to discuss the implications of the changes to public funding for civil claims against the police set out in the Bill, as well as the changes to the way conditional fee agreements will operate, and the implications of Qualified One Way Costs Shifting.  The speakers will explain the main provisions of the Bill and give their views on how this area of law will be affected. Thereafter those attending will be encouraged to ask questions and brainstorm on the issues we face in this area.
