Sustaining the ethos with which it was established, Doughty Street is a forward-looking set whose members and staff subscribe to its commitment to civil  liberties and a desire to fight for justice while striving to achieve excellence in the field.

Doughty Street barristers are part of a team rather than a collection of self-employed individuals. The collegial approach creates a support network amongst members and within the practice teams in Chambers. This enables members to develop their individual practice sensibly by determining how their teams should grow, so they have the right critical mass and the right structure to service the work they bring in, the product of which is an optimal set serving clients efficiently.

Our success has been achieved as a unique multidisciplinary practice underpinned by a single ethos. Together with a dynamic professional infrastructure, and an outward approach that involves adaptability, the outcome is a set that is continually growing, strategically investing in the future.

We welcome applications from talented individuals who share our ethos and standards of excellence. We consider applications on an equal opportunity basis and are committed to equality and diversity amongst staff, pupils and members, providing a workplace that is free from discrimination and harassment. This means all applicants will receive equal treatment regardless of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, disability, gender, sexual orientation, religion or belief.
