The assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia - is the truth being served?

Friday 16 October 2020 11am BST (UK), 12 noon CEST (Malta)

Friday 16 October 2020 marks the third anniversary of the assassination of the renowned investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. As criminal proceedings and a public inquiry continue in Malta, and despite the resignation of Malta’s Prime Minister and the arrest of his chief of staff, the full truth surrounding Daphne’s death is yet to be uncovered.

We are joined by Daphne’s eldest son, Matthew Caruana Galizia, and Rebecca Vincent of Reporters Without Borders (RSF) to examine how the truth of her assassination can be exposed and freedom of expression restored to Malta.

This virtual event will begin with short presentations followed by a moderated discussion and questions from the floor.

Panel:  Matthew Caruana Galizia

Rebecca Vincent, Director of International Campaigns, RSF

Caoilfhionn Gallagher QC, Doughty Street Chambers
