International Women's Day Celebration 2023
Saturday 4th March 2023 | 9:30am - 4:30pm
On 4 March 2023 Doughty Street Chambers will be celebrating International Women’s Day.
Every year, we bring together a diverse group of lawyers, judges, politicians, campaigners and academics to explore what more the law can do for women and girls.
Our panel discussions will include the protests in Iran, pregnancy and births behind bars, women as legal changemakers.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be an inspiring and action-packed day. The in-person tickets have now sold out, however Zoom tickets are still available.
This year Doughty Street Chambers is supporting Tender as our selected charity for IWD 2023. Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to protect against domestic abuse and sexual violence. Doughty Street Chambers is making a donation directly to Tender but as IWD is a not-for-profit event and donation capacity is limited, we invite those attending to consider making even a small donation to support Tender and the continuation of their hugely Important work. Any donations can be made to Tender directly here.
The programme for the day is below. We are delighted to be welcoming delegates and our wonderful expert speakers to panel discussions focusing on what more the law can do for women and how to build a better future for women and girls. It promises to be an excellent day.
