Memorial to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the passing of John Jones QC

Monday 19 April | 5:30pm

The passing of John Jones QC on Monday 18 April 2016 was a monumental loss to the cause of international justice and human rights worldwide. He was a pioneer, at the forefront of establishing our modern system of international criminal justice, and a giant in the field.

John’s commitment to international justice will live on as the courts and international system he helped create continue to prosecute fairly, and hold to account those said to be responsible for the world’s worst crimes.

But more than the outstanding lawyer that was John, he was a loyal friend, decent to his core, a towering tribute to his parents Peggy and Hugh, a supportive brother to his sister Anne, the most loving and caring husband to Miša and father to Patrick and Zachary, who he simply just adored. His passing is a tragic loss to so many.

We recognise that there are many who knew him – friends, colleagues from the Bar, those in the international legal community and from elsewhere so please join us for a Zoom Memorial to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the passing for our dear colleague John Jones QC on Monday 19 April at 5.30 pm BST.
