Does your work mean that you often read and see distressing material?  Do you find it hard to switch off from the difficult information you have come across? Do distressing thoughts or images about work impact on your ability to relax and sleep?

World renowned trauma expert Professor Jamie Hacker Hughes will help you understand the problem and find practical solutions designed to help you switch off from the distressing side of your work, achieve a better work-life balance and relax.

Professor Hacker Hughes is a clinical psychologist, neuropsychologist, psychological psychotherapist and EMDR consultant.  He has particular experience in working with survivors of trauma, including substantial expertise in working with the armed forces and voluntary work with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants.

The event will also provide an opportunity to share experiences and tips with fellow professionals, followed by drinks and refreshments.

We do hope you can join us for what promises to be a fascinating and useful evening.
