Special Issue of the EHRLR to Celebrate the Work of Jonathan Cooper | OUTy Street

Monday 14 March 2022 | 5pm

Join us to honour the work of Jonathan Cooper OBE and for the launch of a special issue published in the European Human Rights Law Review. The Special Issue published online in February 2022 has contributions on human rights law, self-determination, the Human Rights Act, and personal reflections highlighting his work as a trustee of the Sigrid Rausling Trust, as the former editor of the EHRLR, and particularly his global efforts for LGBT rights.

The issue also includes the eulogy by Sir Keir Starmer QC given at the memorial service. Please join us to hear some of the contributors speak to their work and their reflections.

The event will be chaired by Edward Fitzgerald QC joined by Madeleine Rees, Rachel Murray, Paul Johnson, Kevin Childs, Richard Wagenlaender and Leonardo Raznovich.

There will be live auto-transcription enabled throughout this event and it will be recorded. All guests will have their cameras and microphones turned off automatically for this event. Exclusionary language will not be accepted.

The audio transcript will be made available on request.

Unfortunately, we will be unable to provide a BSL interpreter for this event.

Please let us know if you would like to engage in a confidential conversation regarding this or if you have any other accessibility requirements at: events@doughtystreet.co.uk.
