Case Dismissed in £10m Trade Mark case

Paul Mason’s client was one of six defendants charged with distributing counterfeit tobacco.  In an infrequent application, he applied to dismiss the case after his client had given evidence.  He argued that the jury would not be able to reject of all realistic possibilities consistent with innocence, relying on the well-known authorities of R v G and F ; and R v Masih. Four other defendants were convicted after trial, two having pleaded guilty at an earlier stage.

Paul Mason was instructed by Sam Healey at JMW Solicitors.
