Emma Goodall KC represented an Army Captain acquitted of a serious sexual offence

Emma Goodall KC acted for a Captain in the British Army who was charged with a serious sexual offence. He was tried by a Judge and five-member Board in a Court Martial.

Emma made a successful submission of no case to answer. After a trial that lasted seven days, her client was found not guilty when the Judge directed an acquittal. The case involved complex medical evidence and the submission followed the cross examination of an expert witness called by the prosecution.

Emma was instructed by Natalie Berman, a partner at Edward Fail, Bradshaw & Waterson Solicitors.
