Emma Goodall KC represented a company director acquitted of serious historic sexual abuse allegations

Emma Goodall KC acted for a company director who was accused of a campaign of sexual assaults and rape against two members of his extended family. The allegations dated back over half a century to the 1970s when the complainants were still children and the defendant lived in the family home.

The defence had to meet evidence of multiple complaint witnesses and diaries asserted to have been written contemporaneously. Through painstaking investigation and strategic disclosure requests the defence were able to present evidence which successfully undermined the prosecution case.

After a trial that lasted two weeks the client was found unanimously not guilty by the jury of all counts.

Emma Goodall KC was instructed by Seema Parikh, Managing Partner at MPR Solicitors LLP.
