Ex-MI5 contractor acquitted of breaches of Official Secrets and National Security Acts
Defendant ‘X’ had been a contractor for security services and was alleged to have disclosed sensitive material contrary to the Official Secrets Act.
Following a two week trial held partly ‘in camera’ defendant X was found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Those aspects of the trial that could be reported were:
