Garry Green nominated for The Jack Merritt Legacy Award at this year’s Criminal Justice Alliance Awards

Congratulations to Doughty Street’s Garry Green who has been nominated for The Jack Merritt Legacy Award, a new category within this year’s Criminal Justice Alliance Awards.  Jack Merritt was a champion for marginalised and discriminated against groups, who wrote his dissertation on the overrepresentation of young Black, Asian and minority ethnic men in the UK prison system and co-ordinated educational opportunities for people in prison.

The Jack Merritt Legacy Award is for a bold and inspiring individual who has improved outcomes and opportunities for Black, Asian and minority ethnic people in the criminal justice system. Best of luck to Garry and all the other worthy nominees. The CJA virtual awards ceremony and winners will be announced at the end of November.
