Harj Narulla instructed by UNDP to train Palestinian judges in climate and environmental law
Harj Narulla has been instructed by the United Nations Development Programme (“UNDP”) to train Palestinian judges in climate and environmental law between 9-11 February 2026.
Harj will run the training in Amman, Jordan as part of the UNDP Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People’s (“PAPP”) project supporting capacity building for the Palestinian High Judiciary Council and the Palestinian Attorney General’s Office. The training will be attended by senior Palestinian judges and prosecutors.
This is part of a longer project jointly administered by UNDP, UN Women and UNICEF, the Rule of Law and Access to Justice Programme in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which aims to promote and advance the rule of law, justice, security and human rights in the State of Palestine.
Harj was previously instructed by Forensic Architecture to advise on its research relating to the destruction of agriculture and water resources in Gaza for its independent public report, A Spatial Analysis of the Israeli Military’s Conduct in Gaza since October 2023. This report was provided to the legal team representing South Africa in the case before the International Court of Justice on the Application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in the Gaza Strip (South Africa v. Israel).
