Jacob Bindman joins Doughty Street Chambers

Doughty Street Chambers is delighted to welcome Jacob Bindman who joins our Crime team from Garden Court Chambers.

Jacob is a highly experienced barrister whose practice encompasses serious crime, appeals, public law, and extradition. He specialises in terrorism law, protest rights, financial crime, and cross-border cases, appearing at all levels of appeal, including the Supreme Court, and is an accomplished trial advocate. His criminal defence work includes complex homicide and drug cases, while his expertise in fraud covers VAT fraud, cryptocurrency offences, banking other financial crime. He also advises on international criminal and human rights law, representing clients in extradition and mutual legal assistance matters. Additionally, Jacob has played a key role in Public Inquiries, including the Covid Inquiry, where he represented bereaved families, applying his expertise in human rights and complex legal proceedings.
