Jake Taylor secures unanimous not guilty verdict following three-month £25 million cryptocurrency money laundering trial
Jake Taylor represented NP who was second on an indictment alleging a complicated nationwide money laundering operation with international elements.
The jury heard evidence of a sophisticated operation whereby criminal money was laundered through bank accounts and crypto networks over a period of years. The trial involved volumes of digital material and expert evidence concerning the use of crypto networks.
NP, a medical worker and mother of two, faced a lengthy custodial sentence if convicted.
The case was prosecuted by Silk and junior.
