Joel Bennathan QC’s 19-year-old client unanimously acquitted of murder in 2 hours

The allegation was that a group of 5 young men had driven around South London looking for members of other gangs to attack and kill. After a trial lasting 3 week, Mr Akapea was acquitted of both murder and manslaughter, with the jury returning after a retirement of about 2 hours.
