Julie Davis wins DELF John Jones QC Essay Competition 2025

Crime pupil, Julie Davis, has won the DELF Essay Competition 2025, held in memory of former Doughty Street Chambers member, John Jones QC.

Applicants were asked to respond to the essay question ''What would be the impact on extradition if the UK withdrew from the European Convention on Human Rights?''

The essay competition was open to all law students, trainee solicitors, pupil barristers, and legal practitioners up to 3 years PQE or Call.

A judging panel of Mrs Justice McGowan, Mark Summers KC, and Ben Keith awarded Julie first place.

Julie will be accepting instructions in crime and extradition from April 2026.
