Karlia Lykourgou succeeds in opposing a conviction EAW to Poland at Westminster Magistrates' Court

At Westminster Magistrates’ Court Karlia Lykourgou succeeded in opposing a conviction EAW to Poland after persuading the judge that it would be unjust  and oppressive to grant the extradition request.

While finding no real Article 8 grounds applied, the judge determined that this was a rare case where it would be disproportionate to grant the extradition and would not serve the public interest.

The Requesting Judicial Authority has decided not to appeal the determination.
