Kent Man Acquitted of Murder

When a convicted child rapist boasted: “it was not the first time and probably won’t be the last”, a Kent man and father of two young children, who confessed to losing his temper, beat the man to death. When asked by defence counsel David Hislop KC whether he had intended to kill the man or cause him really serious harm, the defendant replied: “No, no, God no.” Earlier the Judge had withdrawn the defence of Loss of Control from the jury. Undeterred by the ruling the defence team of David Hislop KC and Jonathan Mole, effectively, ran the same defence before the jury. It took the jury just under 12 hours to reach a Not Guilty Verdict. David Hislop KC and Jonathan Mole were instructed by Manjit Tesse of Takk & Co Solicitors.
